Writing a Be Inspired submission is an opportunity to celebrate your project as well as your team's hard work and ingenuity. But how do you explain your project in just a few questions? It helps to focus on a few key questions that draw out the aspects of your project that the jury will want to see.
How is my project innovative?
This is a competition about innovation, first and foremost, so be sure to highlight what is new, unique and innovative about your team’s approach to the project. This is a chance to brag about yourselves! No need to be modest. Celebrate your unique perspectives and solutions, whether it was the original way you delivered the project, how you collaborated, or whether it was the new design technique you tried.
What were the challenges we faced, and how did our innovations solve them?
Every project presents unique challenges and has different goals. Choose one or two specific examples. Let us know how you used technology to overcome those challenges and achieve your goals. Bentley is proud of our users’ ingenuity!
What evidence will support my submission?
Be specific about the positive impact your use of technology has had on your project. Believe it or not, numbers can help submissions come alive. Where applicable, provide quantifiable, measurable, numeric data. This doesn’t mean you should throw in every measurement you’ve ever made, but detailed responses to questions about man hours, return on investment (ROI), and costs can shed light on the efficacy of your innovations and help the judges recognize your achievements. “We reduced planning time by 15%” is much more compelling than “we reduced planning time”.
