Microsoft has disclosed a critical security vulnerability with it's Print Spooler service.
APM Server and APM Clients (Remote, Smart, Thick) use the Print Spooler service to print reports and work packages.
It is recommended that APM users update to the July 6th 2021 security update
If this is not possible then the print spooler service can be disabled temporarily while the update is rolled out. While the service is disabled APM users and automated processes will not be able to print and fax because the print spooler service controls the list of printers available to the system.
Once the security update is applied it is recommended that the additional security measures are reviewed and applied as necessary.
